This place was lovely with nice clean rooms and a lovely restaurant with spectacular views of the woods and bird feeders. The plank cooked salmon was delicious. Lots to do from paddle boats to hiking and even though it was a wet hike, we enjoyed making our way along the Liscombe River Trail to the suspension bridge over the waterfall.... More

We made a reservation for a single night in October and were so pleased stayed 2 more nights! We had asked for a cabin close to the water. We got a cabin right on the falls/rapids. It was a wonderfully peaceful cabin. Porch was wonderful, fireplace made it perfect. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was a treat... More

Good accommodations, nice pool, nice breakfast, nice trails, great and helpful staff... Unfortunately recreation building is filled with defective equipment, which would be a quick fix... Cues for the pool table with no tips, broken part on fusball table, lack of sand on shuffle board.... Things kids might notice but not necessarily adults... Needs a little attention. It's a great... We selected the Liscombe Lodge as a stop on our way to Sydney from Halifax, having decided to drive the Eastern Shore which we had never driven before. We were unable to program the destination in our GPS, and were sceptical about the location because it is truly in the middle of nowhere. But when we arrived, we were pleasantly... More

We are just back from a WONDERFUL weekend at Liscombe Lodge. We stayed in one of the multi-room cottages with friends and family members and loved everything. We had children with us aged 5 to 17 and everyone had a blast. The newly refurbished rooms very very clean and the beds wonderfully comfortable after enjoying full days of taking in... More

We stayed one night with another coupled. We were given adjacent chalets as requested. They were right next to a lovely set of rapids on the river. Licombe Lodge is located almost in the "middle of nowhere", which is just great. We stayed in cabins which appeared to have been very recently refurbished. The resort has a number of nature trails which take even unadventurous travellers like us into a bush setting with adirondack chairs overlooking the Liscombe River. The rooms have free WiFi. We’d been looking to go here for a while but the website kept showing fully booked. On impulse I phoned, got a room no problem, and arrived 3 hours later, very hungry, having unsuccessfully looked for somewhere to eat on the drive in, and wishing we’d packed a lunch - so many beautiful places to picnic on the Marine Drive....
