We stayed in caboose number 10 for two nights and loved it. There was plenty of space and it was full of character. The bedroom was wonderfully cosy and we managed to sleep through a really bad storm. We had a really good meal in the dining car one night but the absolutely best thing were the blueberry pancakes served... More

37 years in the travel industry for me and a hotel room is a hotel room is a hotel room, but not here. A wonderful change from the normal. Quiet and peaceful, we loved our Caboose and were extremely impressed with what the innkeeper, Jim, has done with this old station and his town. A superb welcome and tour of... More

My wife and I stayed at the station House itself rather than in one of the cabooses. The surroundings within sight of the river in really green and peaceful surroundings. I wish that we had visited the area earlier since we only stayed for one night, due to a need to return to Halifax the following day for our return flight... More

We spent two nights in half a boxcar. It was surprisingly roomy--there was a double bed and a single futon on a platform over the bath (the ceiling being quite high.) There were also rooms in cabooses and three (I think) conventional B&B rooms upstairs in the station. Breakfast in the station was good. Dinner in the dining car was... More

They are just like a old train, its so much fun to stay there. You are sitting on the tracks and right in the station. There are places to eat and shop right in the station. Great idea for the train and there are other things to do in the area.. I am glad they remodled and kept the station... More

We stayed in caboose #4 and as others have mentioned, we had the whole car. There was a bathroom, a bedroom and then divided off from that, a small sitting area with a small table and two bench type seats. This area also contained bunk beds so if you travelling with a couple of small children it would be good... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Train Station Inn, The station masters residence has been tastefully refurbished. We had a comfortable room but a tad damp, shower room cramped. The room next door looked nicer but ours was better than the 3rd room. Coffee facilities in the kitchen, there was also a lounge area for use. There are cabooses that... More

We stayed in Caboose #5 and enjoyed the unique experience of staying in an historic railcar, complete with a trip up to the cupola for pre-dinner drinks! Who knew you could rent a caboose for the night? Caboose #4 accommodated two adults and two kids nicely with a queen bed and a separate bunk room. Had a really fun time with the kids, a nice meal in the dining car. I'm not much for themed accommodations, but this was a truly authentic experience. The owner is a... More
