I am a bus tour operator and have been bringing groups to this hotel for the past few years. This is absolutely the best location on the archipelago for a bus group. First, there are very few places who can accommodate a bus group. Second, this hotel is the only air-conditioned hotel capable of accommodating a group of 50 or more. Third, it is located downtown so that my group can visit the local establishments whenever they have leisure time. So we get all of these benefits plus the incredible service and smiles we always receive from their hospitality team from check-in, housekeeping, breakfast. Chris' Tours, Moncton, NB

Got stranded here on a recent Air Canada flight, when the Gaspé airport was closed, and arrived just before midnight. A very friendly welcome, combined with a fast efficient check in got me to my bed to end a patience taxing day. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff opened the breakfast buffet a 4.30 am to accommodate me and other travelers requiring and early departure to the airport. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like house guests with a warm smile and offer to help us in any way they could. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We overlooked the back of the property so it was very quiet as well. Each and every staffer we met was helpful, warm and did everything they could to make sure it was not only a memorable stay but that we would come back. They gave us great recommendations of what to do and where to go. Breakfast was ample and a good way to start the day. We will definitely be back!

Lodging options for visiting Iles-de-la-Madeleine includes a handful of hotels, a few B&B and mostly "rentals". For those insisting on a traditional hotel, either for business or by choice, the Auberge Madeli provides very good value What I liked: Very good location toward the "end" of town - next to the main road so convenient access to nearby shops and some walking trails along the shoreline. Rooms were most likely renovated recently with a modern and contemporary look. As with everyone on the island, staff is very friendly. Wifi is stable, reliable and relatively quick. Onsite amenities are minimal but access to a nearby gym is provided. Room size is adequate - but not "large" by any standard. Same about the bathroom. Hotel appears to be well maintained with pretty much everything in working order. Bed in itself was comfortable and room was clean. The hotel is attached to a bar and family restaurant, as well as a bowling alley What to watch for/couldbe improved: Pillows are very large, and not very comfortable for those that prefer flat pillows. Bathroom amenities are a bare minimum with two soap bar and a small bottle of shampoo. Shower had good pressure - but was leaking when operating (pressure was likely way too strong). Temperature control in the room was ok - but difficult to get the exact desired temperature. Also, the heating unit would always make an annoyin clicking sound when turning on/off. Continental breakfast is offered but is extremely basic: Bread, bagel, cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogourt, fruit salad. All in, this is a good place for the "budget" traveller to this area. A sister property "Chateau Madelinot" is offering nicer and direct views of the shoreline and a nicer onsite restaurant - but would most likely fetch top $$$ when opened. Auberge Madeli appears to operate year-round. I would not hesitate to go back if on business and potentially for leisure

Auberge Madeli is situated directly on the main road going through Cap aux Meules. This great for exploring the Madeleine Islands but it also generates noise. As traffic more or less stops at night we still had a good night's rest. We were in suite 201 which is a spacious two-room accomodation with such luxuries as a sofa, an arm-chair, a desk and an eating table. There are a fridge and a decent coffee machine in the room. The bathroom is adequate and the bed is good. Breakfast is rather basic, service is friendly.

Nice, clean hotel with a basic continental breakfast. Good amenities in the rooms. Microwave available for guest in the vending machine area... practical. Friendly service & conveniently located near some cafes & restaurants and close to where the ferry departs from. Good choice for short stays.

Stayed only one night; welcoming and friendly staff and newly renovated rooms. Very clean and conveniently located by ferry landing (5 min drive), if lacking ambience. Free breakfast was very basic. ******

The hotel staff are very nice and welcoming. The hotel itself has a very modern feel which surprises you because the outside is more dated. The rooms all have solid floors and no carpets, as well as very comfortable beds. I prefer the rooms with one bed as opposed to two because they are nicer to lounge around in. One time I looked out my bedroom window at dusk and there was a fox sitting right there, so keep an eye out if you would like to see the local wildlife.

Not too many quality hotels on the island. I would stay here again. Very convenient location in town and central in the island as a whole. Rooms were large and quiet even though it was on a main street.
