We were at Auberge des Appalaches the first weekend in September. We were very lucky and the weather was perfect. John and Patricia are amazing hosts. The meals were perfect -- and quite healthy. John is a chef worth some stars. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, but who wants to stay there for more than a peaceful night's sleep.... More

Delivered more than we anticipated. The genuine friendly greeting and service were only surpassed by the surprising high quality of the evening supper. We were 6 in our party with international hospitality experience and all would return for the food and friendly low key most affordable atmosphere. The owners are highly competent, hands on, well travelled themselves and clearly suitable... More

I' ve stayed at this auberge twice in 2011 and I will definitely go back. Feels like home, fine dining in a causal environment. More

We stayed at the Auberge with some friends and young children for a spring skiing weekend. While the rooms were small, the cozy common areas more than made up for that. We enjoyed our martinis and beer in the sun room on leather couches complete with books, magazines, games, pillows and cozy blankets. The food was unbelievable and delicious enough... More

We had great time. It's close to ski slopes. The interior is very intimate and warm. The staff is very friendly and you get the personal attention of the couple that owns and manages the place. The food is brilliant. The rooms are a bit small, but they said they plan a renovation in the spring of 2011. All in... More

My first stay at Auberge des Appalache was a short midweek ski trip. I was in search of powder, not luxury. I was delighted to find the restaurant serving up a gourmet menu worthy of a five star hotel. More

delicious food, charming hosts, spartan rooms, access to phenomenal skiing. If you are looking for good value, want to be close to Mt. Sutton, and don't mind a room that is a bit cramped, the auberge de appalache is an excellent choice. More

We wanted to take our daughter, who attends Bishop's University nearby, away from campus for a skiing weekend. The Auberge des Appalaches was just the right spot for us. Whether sitting by the fire, enjoying great meals or getting out to Mont Sutton just up the road, we were treated superbly. More

Very good meals. For dinner, the best lamb I have had in a while. The pancakes for breakfast were great too. Very close to Mt. Sutton, ~2km. Room is OK, but you don't spend much time in there anyways, too much to do outside in this part of Québec. More

We spent a week vacationing in Sutton and staying at Auberge des Appalaches. Amazing experience. We had a wonderful time. It is hard to describe it, you have to experience it! Patricia’s and John’s hospitality and John’s cooking made us all think and talk about the dinner during the day. John’s cooking is the best example that shows that cooking... More
