Casa Valentina is located on a small gravel road 1.5km off Mex 307 in the jungle and 14km north of Akumal Village / Akumal Playa. After reading his website and other descriptions of the place we thought that we could go there by public transport and could make day trips by collectivo taxis, but once there we realized that the... Owners not friendly and pretty anti-American except when it comes to accepting dollars. For the money, there are nicer places that are happier to have you as a guest.

When did you stay in Casa Valentina B&B? We don't remeber you...Anyway we don't hate the persons from the United States...we love USA...may be you hate italian and mexican (it's a joke!). I precise that we just offer bed ( the rooms are huge, confortable, with any service and clean) and breakfast for a very cheap price...of course us smiles... More

What a pleasure! This little gem is way out of the business of Akumal and Tulum. What you will enjoy at Valentina: 1. The friendly service. Gerardo is a peaceful fountain of knowledge about the local natural environment, the flora and fauna, the local social atmosphere, and the real quality places to go and things to do. 2. The wildlife.... More

When I turned down the little road off the coastal highway that led to Casa Valentina, I didn't know quite what to expect -- only that it was "in the jungle," on the landward side of the highway. The road got smaller bumpier and I was SO glad to see the Casa Valentina sign; if it's your first time, don't... More

We visited Casa Valentina twice in the past 3 years. Once with our 2 year old at the time daughter and the next time as a couple. Both times our stay was peaceful, both times we celebrated New Year's Eve and both times we had the great opportunity to talk to the owners and find out more about the area.... More

We are German but try to write in English - so sorry for the mistakes. We decided to stay here because this B&B is very special. Completely different to accommodations in Playa del Carmen, Cozumel or other touristic places along the Caribbean side of Yucatan. Different to all the synthetic resorts with faked sceneries, swanky pool-regions, stuff with a uniformed... More

Booked a room here for two nights after spending 6 nights in Cozumel based on the tripadvisor reviews and we were so looking forward to our jungle stay. We arrived and it would be impossible for someone to be less friendly than Jarerdo. Didn't tell us anything about the property, offer us a drink or maybe even one of his... More

This is a great place to stay if you have a vehicle,( any car can negotiate the long dirt road in, it's part of the remoteness.).. The hosts are knowledgeable and really listen to what you want out of your vacation, and in our case hit the nail on the head in every instance... It's like getting a free travel... More

I came back to Casa Valentina because I had a wonderful experience last time and I wanted to try it once again. And even in this case I left the Casa only with positive considerations. The Casa allows you to relax and to arrange your time as you prefer: I had the chance, in fact, to spend hours in the... More

We just spent three busy weeks visiting Mexico and the last three nights we wanted to experience a different, more quiet and relaxing atmosphere rather then choosing an obvious resort location or sea view hotel. No offence to the touristic hot spots (although…), but this place is from a totally different level and offers so much more! Arriving at Casa... More
