Stayed here on business and was disgusted by the rooms. Initially my room was number 12, this is in what appears to be a cottage next door. On opening the door directly into the room it feels like you are in someone's lounge ! The very ancient double bed is inches away from the window with people walking past. It... More

I got to admit, I feel that I was misled about this hotel from the moment I clicked "book" from the online hotel booking website. The photos and descriptions are lovely - and there were some good reviews here on TripAdvisor too. What I didn't realise was that TripAdvisor doesn't always distinguish between reviews about the pub / food V... More

The Saracen's Head accommodation is comfortable, clean, well presented and has plenty of character of a traditional ol' English Pub. The staff are friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. After dropping our bags off, we spent the day walking around Amersham browsing the lovely shops and having a picnic in the park. In the evening we returned... More

We have just returned from a few days stay in Amersham. The Saracens Head is a lovely old pub with rooms to let - We stayed in a room at the front of the premises, above the courtyard entrance, accessed via the public bar. Only downside was I couldn’t resist a nice pint or two of Greene King IPA beer... More

Large double room and hearty breakfast, very friendly staff. All nice and clean. Only one thing lets it down on the room we had and that it was close to where the pub smoking area was, didn't smell the smoke but heard plenty of chat. Would use the hotel again though.

We (unfortunately) were attending a funeral locally and with members of the family coming from different parts of the country we wanted somewhere to meet up beforehand. A google search pointed us in the direction of The Saracen's Head Inn and the sat nav took us straight there. There were 10 of us in total and the Landlord was most... More

What a great place - searched the internet for somewhere within 30 minutes of where I was working, and found this. Wanted to stay at an inn rather than a hotel. SOOOO glad I did! The landlord Kerry is very welcoming, the bar is really good with some top ales on. Food is very good indeed, generous portions with a... More

Booked on late rooms for a night away after a busy Christmas time and stayed early January. Yes there is difficulty parking but managed to park out on the road. A warm welcome on arrival and shown to our cosy and very adequate room overlooking the patio which was a little noisy as customers left and the pub closed but... More

Stayed over the festive period which led to complications over the timings of breakfast. Staff made it all too apparent that we the client's were an inconvenience and totally lacked humour. The room was small but comfortable and met the basic requirements. The breakfast itself was plentiful but could only be described as adequate in terms of quality with no written... More

We stayed here for one night early January. Traditional pub, very cosy atmosphere, our room was spacious, very tidy and nicely decorated. Kerry is an excellent host, who goes the extra mile to make sure his guests are happy. Breakfast was great, cosy sitting next to the open fireplace and great choice of food. Very good value for money, would... More
