Just spent two nights at the wonderful boot inn, the bar and conservatory are really lovely since the refit, bedrooms a little tired but in saying that, really clean with soft beds and crisp white sheets and fluffy towels! The staff are all very friendly and happy to help. We will definatly be coming back, especially for the fabulous breakfasts.

just returned for a 2 night stay and had a brilliant time. the staff couldn't do enough and even went out of there way to find a birthday candle for our daughters birthday cake, amazing food, great base for walks etc. the miniature railway is also a great day out. could not fault this break at all.

we have just returned from the boot inn in eskdale and it cannot be faulted.from the good food to the comfortable rooms to the very attentive staff nothing was a problem to them.it may be out of the way but that just adds to its charm. dont miss this great place

Before being taken over and refurbished by the Pennington Group, the Boot Inn had its faults - it was tired, even grubby, sometimes ropey ales (but then it was/is a Robinsons pub, so what do you expect??), but it was always a proper traditional walkers pub.
