After reading a few of the reviews we were slightly put off about visiting. Luckily our expectations were exceeded. The lodges are spacious, very clean and very well equipped. On the downside in our lodge the Derwent the sofa looked worn and tatty and the bed in the master bedroom was so uncomfortable. ( I did mention this on check... More

We stayed in Blackcombe which one of the Viken lodge's from 27th-31st of June. The lodge was lovely and clean with fantastic views looking over Wickham Valley and out to the Irish Sea. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The 3 downstairs bedrooms were ideally sized, all with on suite bathrooms which is fantastic when... More

Just got back from a two night stay here with a living social deal and had a lovely time. We were expecting a 2 bedroom Derwent lodge and were given the 3 bedroom Thirlmere which was excellent. Modern and exceptionally clean and even provided with tea towels, washing up liquid, scourers etc. After reading the reviews on the pool was... More

Only stayed for two nights on a Living Social deal in one of the smaller (accommodates 4) lodges. First impression was of a really nice, well planned site. No complaints on the cleanliness of our lodge but it did create the impression of having been equipped and furnished on a very tight budget. Also as soon as we opened the... More

Thank you for taking the time in writing this review. Renovation plans for the resort are already under way, but with the resort being open 365 days a year, it is difficult to pin point a time scale in which to do them and minimise the disruption to guest holidays. Unfortunately not everyone follows the law when it comes to... More

Just got a late deal with living social and really wanted to check out the log cabins and area. Fantastic view when we arrived but soon found out we had the worst chalet - sorry SHED! Staff lived in the next door cabin which looked just as SHEDDY. Inside it was ok with laminate flooring and 2 x 2 leather... More

We exchanged our timeshare for a week at Brockwood Hall - what a mistake!! We departed after just 2 nights. We had been allocated the Brotherswater Lodge, the only one it seemed with the balcony facing directly into the woods, top lights needed at all time in the lodge, would have been nice to have a few lamps to soften... Thank you for taking the you much loved time in writing this review. I would like to start by saying Brotherswater lodge has one of the most tranquil balconies of all the 32 lodges we have on site, as you have little noise from the rest of site. A few crumbs of bread on the balcony, you can sit and... More

Spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - everything you would expect a self catering cabin not to have - it had!!
