On the 13th May 2013 we began our holiday in the Lake District. The hotel the Seacote in St Bees was our accommodation for 4 nights. What can I say.Rooms need more than a little refurbishment. The food was really poor. The Yorkshire pudding was so tough I could not cut it.and the roast potato yes only one each was inedible and... More

The caravan park is based very close to the sea in St Bees, a lovely little Cumbrian town. We stayed here as we have family close by. We booked with the site directly and got a nice caravan for ourselves, our two young boys and our dog. The caravan itself is equipped with just about everything needed, you just need... More

We arrived on Friday 5 April having booked for a week's stay in a 3 bedroom caravan via the Hoseasons web site. The caravan we had been allocated was on the seafront (A21) however looked out onto open drains and was not a very nice outlook at all. It was immediately evident that the caravan had not been cleaned, the... More

I first came here about 6 years ago and I just keep wanting to return. it's been a couple of years due to other family holiday commitments, but been twice in 6 months. This is a great place for a quiet holiday, especially if you have a dog. It's usually just me and the dog and the caravans are very... More

Seacote park is a well located site right on St Bee's beach and at the start of the C2C Walk, but do your homework all of the caravans are not of the same standard and age and you can ask for a certain caravan number B15 is a nice newish caravan with a good veiw of the beach. It is... More

Stone House Farm is a B&B in Cumbria. You can stay there, sleep well, eat a good breakfast and if you are really smart do the first half of the first day's walk on your first day and return to the B&B. The next day you only have to start at Sandith and walk to Ennerdale. The owner Carol will... More

Been to this site in a static a few yrs ago and really enjoyed it, so decided to return in our own caravan, when we arrived it was very wet and windy and was given a pitch at the back of the site around a good 5mins walk to the showers and elsen point, after setting up and realizing we was... More

I have been to St Bees many times and have always enjoyed it. This time we decided to take our caravan and stay for 4 nights. The spot for the tourers is nice, overlooking a hill and the little river...but if you dont have an awning or are in a camper van, you are able to pitch in the car... More

Our van was very clean and had enough space for two adults , two big teenagers and a baby. The beach is great , sandy but with plenty of rock pools etc . A great base to visit the quieter Western Lakes such as Wastester and Ennerdale. Myfanwy thought that Whitehaven was like West Bromwich on sea though.
