Absolutely lovely place and charming hosts ! Stayed here for 2 nights only but have already decided to come here again and have also recommended the place to our business travel organisers.
Everything was just right, old house nicely decorated, large room with nice beds with duvets of right thickness, full tea kit, en suite power shower, TV that not...

Nice welcome and helpful encouragement and advice for our very wet journey ahead. Rooms were comfortable, clean and warm and there was secure space to store the bikes.
Breakfast was a good size full english and plenty of cereals and coffee.
Whitehaven town centre and harbour is a five minute walk a bit tricky for food out of season after...

We stayed here at the end of biking the Reviers Route. The owners were very helpful and friendly, a warm welcome after a wet and windy ride! They allowed us to carry out bikes through the B&B out to the back garden, where they then moved them for us into a lockable shed for the night. The rooms were very...

We stopped here while cycling the Hadrian's wall cycle route. This is one of he best B&B's around. Very welcoming and the food is of the highest quality. We will be back for the C2C next time.

Well what can I say other than if you are a cyclist about to embark on the coast to coast ride for charity in one day then avoid this place like the plague. I would also avoid if you happen to be northener or southerner as they arr disliked too. I have never been spoken to so rudely in all...

We are completely confident that all of our other previous guests, including those that have returned frequently and stayed with us for up to twenty months, will read this with incredulity. Amongst those returners is this reviewer’s own cycling colleague who stated in an email “Thanks once again for being so accommodating”.
The thousands of cyclists that have seen their...

Stayed here for one night taking up 3 rooms.
First of all the location- only 10 minutes walk from the town centre, 5 minutes from Tesco. The owners were friendly, welcoming yet unintrusive. The rooms are clean with powerful hot showers. I loved the honesty bar, this is a real northern touch. The lounge felt like our own front room...

We were looking for somewhere to stay for a friends wedding - we needed to accomodate 2 young couples and a young mum with a 5 yr old and couldn't have done better. The couple running the place were very friendly and attentive, booking our taxi and offereing advice on the town. The room was traditional, comfortable and clean and...

Extremely friendly owners, couldn't do enough for me when I stopped overnight. Had the evening meal which was good value and excellent. The only issue was lack of parking. The wifi didn't reach the top room that I was in but someone nearby had an insecure connection so that was sorted! I would definitely recommend to others.

Thank you for your kind words and constructive comments. We have now called in Harry Potter (or a similar Wizard) and our free internet wi-fi signal is received at full strength throughout the house. When they built the house in 1884 the need to park cars wasn't given much thought but ample on-street parking is available in the immediate vicinity.
