Visited the Georgian House in January for a family meal. The restaurant was very busy(a good sign) despite this we were served our food reasonably quickly. All 8 of us enjoyed our food which was presented very well. Only complaint was the service; having to ask for drinks twice and waiting a while before they arrived. I have put this... More

This place is fantastic, I stayed with a colleague for two nights and on one night we entertained some customers. The rooms were very modern, extremely clean and comfortable. The staff very very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for you. The standard of decorations, food and drinks on offer alongside the second to none service made it... More

We have had a meal here on a few occasions and would highly recommend. We went for our sons birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and daughter had fajitas, I had salmon, my son had tapas and my other son had the big g burger. Everything was cooked to perfection. It is excellent value for money. The waiter introduced... I have just returned here for the second time. I thought the first time would take some beating but this second time actually did. I would highly recommend it. The food is amazing, the young male waiter was extremely helpful, the decor is very welcoming. You would not find a nicer place to eat in Whitehaven.

On my recent trip to Georgian house, I found the food to be very enjoyable and the standards were very high as well as lovely service from a paticular waitress called Shona. She waited on at our table all night, she had lovely manors and esnured that our visit was exceptional. I will definitely be returning again and will be... More

We went for a meal just before Christmas - we were TOLD in order for us to get fed we had to come earlier than we had originally booked for. The food was good - service ok although we did have to ask for a jug of water three times. I have spoken to 3 of my friends who all... More

A great, central location, easy to find. I stayed here for 3 nights on a B&B basis in February and again in August. We arrived late (9 pm) and could not have a drink/ coffee in the bar, which was disappointing. The attractive boutique style room, larger than standard, was very modern, yet comfortable. The décor, furnishings and furniture still... More

I have just had time to write a review from a few weeks ago. My husband and i booked a meal for our anniversary. The food is beautiful. It is presented in a lovely manner and the restaurant itself is lovely. I had the nicest meal I have had for a long time. The staff who served us were excellent,... More

The Service was great and all the staff were very attentive. Starters - soup and bread tin. The soup was delicious and the person who had the bread tin enjoyed the big portion with a wide selection of breads. The main meals were very delicious. The portions were very large. It is a restaurant with Rooms above it and is... More

This is a review of the restaurant food I had when my wife and I went for a meal on 31st July 2012. We chose the restaurant at the Georgian House Hotel partly because some other places were closed on a Tuesday (this restaurant is part of a hotel and seems to be open every day of the week) but...
