Stayed the night of the markets. Was brilliant. Have stayed here under different owners but it has gotten better. It is such great value. Accomodation prices seem to have risen heaps in the last few years in the tablelands but allumbah pocket stays so affordable. Love it. Can't wait to come back in winter! We are from mossman so it... We stayed at The Allumbah Pocket Cottages for 2 nights in March 2013. The cottages were better than the photos. The grounds and amenities were outstanding. We enjoyed the special little extras. Happy hour, fresh baked bread, helpful advice on local attractions, a relaxing calm environment. Lovely comfortable beds with crisp sheets. Beautiful bathroom. Would have loved to have relaxed... We first stayed at Allumbah Pocket Cottages for 8 days in December 2012, and we were so taken with the beautifully appointed Cottage and welcoming, friendly owners Rob & Melanie that we returned for another 8 days in March 2013. Cottages are secluded and shady, very well appointed, with every comfort taken care of, from the king size bed to... More

We stayed at the Allumbah pocket Cottages on March 14, 2013. The Cottages are spacious, homey and very clean. This is a B&B in the sense that there is a kitchen in your cottage, and Rob and Mel, the owners, put food in your fridge for you to cook. We loved that, as we didn't feel like getting up in... More

We stayed here with another couple in late November 2012. The cottages are clean and spacious. The bathroom in our cottage was quite large with a whirlpool bath and a separate shower. There was ample food provided for our breakfast on the first day - a nice loaf of bread, jams, cereals, milk, fruit, etc. Made do with what was... More

Happened by chance on this late in the evening and looking just for one night, the welcome could not be more accommodating by Melanie, who is probably normally letting the cottages for a week. If we wanted all the in house services of a fully hosted B&B of top quality it was offered and available and we bet it was... More

These gorgeous cottages are simply wonderful. Attention to detail is fantastic, everything from the fresh dairy milk, to candles, music, movies to watch it is all here. The common areas charming and inviting. The owners are cheerful and accommodating. Love this place and will be back!!

What a pleasure to find accommodation like this. I was lucky enough to stay 3 nights in one of the charming cottages where the hosts seem to have thought of everything. Each cottage has a secluded shady entry. Breakfast provisions were excellent with local produce of jams, beautiful strawberries, organic yoghurt, ground coffee and tea - even home baked bread.... We stayed here for 1 night in August. This allowed us to explore the key atractions of the area, and be within reasonable distance from Cairns (about a 90 minute drive away). Given that the rates for the property next door (Eden House) were $100+ more expensive at the time, I thought it was good value. Note that the Eden... More
