Unfortunately, this hotel has been closed. The good news is it was bought by Starwood Hotels and it will be a Westin Hotel, the bad news is that it wil not open until April 2014. So for anyone looking to stay here or make a return visit you will have to wait until next year. Sorry. Hope this helps!

Before heading out of town for our honeymoon, my husband and I stayed here for our wedding night. It was a beautiful room, with a gorgeous view of downtown and the lake. Everyone was attentive to our needs, and although we did not check in until after midnight, they cared enough to make sure things were perfect for us.

Place was average clean hotel. Not the fanciest place but adequate. Breakfast buffet was poor wait staff never brought drinks at all. Room was clean and bright. View of lake was awesome. Also looked over Browns stadium. Place was a quick walk to Hall of Fame.

I appreciate older hotels, especially ones in downtown areas. This used to be a bank, back in the 20-30's, not sure. This hotel is out of business, effectively. The owners went bankrupt, and the building will be totally gutted and rebuilt (I hear as a Westin). My stay was as a part of a conference. We had a lake view which was very nice. The room was so stuffy, I turned on the air and it sounded like a steamship. Beautiful view of the lake, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Cleveland Browns stadium. Hotel is within walking distance of all the above, or go the other direction to get to many great restaurants in the arcade walking area. Parking may cost you $15 if you drive in, but waived for Priority Club Platinum Members.

The windows in the room are not sealed. Woke up and found the window soaked, the carpet drenched, and walls water stained. Moved rooms three times. Ended up on the Club floor which had been refurbished recently.
