We recently stayed their in Apr 2013. The hotel is very good and centrally located..You can ask the staff to call the taxi whenever you want to visit any place.The food is very good.The rooms are like individual cottages and all are facing to a good scenic beauty..Staff is very nice.

Old property but well maintained.Huge area and the cottages are really spacious and truly beautiful.... Away from the hustle and bustle of the town but yet very close to it....Food is also very nice but make sure you order at the right time...Check the Food timings...

We (me & my wife) stayed in this hotel during Christmas for 4 days.....and it was a treat.. Of course the weather was pleasant and the hotel was quiet memorable for it's food and hospitality. We will definitely love to come back to Shillong & for sure in Pinewood.
