If you travel on a budget I suggest to stay in this place. It's very clean, safe, the room are quite good, the couple in charge very nice, they can cook food for you (if you buy it). You can get wifi.
Get nice view from the top-roof. The negative thing is that you have a dump just in front...

The building, rooms, shower and beds are very clean and new, and the host is a very nice person. It is one of the best guesthouses, in which I have stayed in India. Unfortunately, there is no wi-fi.
There are some good restaurants near it and the beach is only in five minutes walk.
