Beautiful historic house in the centre of medieval Sandwich. Clean and comfortable with very helpful and friendly propriertors. Boutique rooms nicely done and spacious modern bathroom. Highly recommend for a couples' weekend away.

Dating from 1250, Harfleet House is one of the most impressive and imposing period homes within Sandwich, one of the historic Cinque Ports. Originally a wealthy Merchant’s House and now Grade II listed, it is a superb example of a medieval hall house, “among the best surviving medieval merchant houses in the whole of England”, with a small courtyard behind the front range and an undercroft (stone cellar) dating back to Norman times. It has a three-storey jettied front range and a hall behind.
