Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Shireburn Arms on 7th May. The Valley Suite was totally gorgeous and the views were stunning. Our evening meal was fantastic - as a vegetarian it's not often I get excited about restaurant food but my meal was delicious. My husband said his meal was the "lambiest lamb"... More

We've just come back from a weekend at the Shireburn. We went with another family and were well looked after. Positives: Amazing food, great walks and very welcoming. Children and dogs made to feel really welcome. The Manageress Suzanne was very friendly and helpful as were all of the other staff. Negatives: some of the rooms are not yet renovated.... More

A friend had recommended this hotel for a meal as we were staying in the area, we were not disappointed! There was a lovely atmosphere, log fires even though it was May but very welcome on a damp evening. An extensive menu was available and a specials board. We opted for the 3 courses for £13.95 as it had some... More

We've eaten at the Shireburn on several occasions and have been waiting for a sunny day to enjoy their outdoor space - yesterday was that day! Having settled ourselves at a table we waited for someone to take our order, eventually hailing a passing waiter who informed us that it wasn't hotel policy to take orders outside and we would... My wife and I decided to do a mid week walk in the Ribble Valley and stay at the Shireburn Arms. We were offered a great mid week deal they had on offer, Dinner Bed and Breakfast( including a bottle of sparkling wine. We were shown to our room with the minimum of fuss, the room had just been refurbished... More

I knew that this place is the in the process of being refurbed so had no particular expectations one way or the other but based it on the reputation of other properties owned by the same team. Our bedroom was beautifully refurbished once inside (communal landing still to be updated) but the windows had been painted shut so had a... More

Found this place by chance and first impressions were good. Initial bar service was good and Wainrights ale very good. Shown through to restaurant which was nice and then it went downhill. Staff were nowhere to be seen and when their attention was gained they were non too interested. Service for foor delivery was very slow and the food quality... More
