We have just come back from a 2 night stay at Simonstone Hall. This stay was a competition prize and what a fabulous prize it was. We stayed in a luxury suite and the prize included evening meals. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the bed was very comfy and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The food... More

Thank you all so much for a great stay. Excellent reception from everybody and the food was exceptional. Chef , believe me , take 5 minutes more and make your own sauces. Those packet sauces you can smell them coming and you make very good food to be smothered and ruined by that stuff. We´ll be back for sure.

The food was plentiful, well cooked and excellent value. The staff were efficient and friendly, they were also very attentative without being overbearing, I can honestly say the Sunday lunch was one of the best and largest I have eaten. The surroundings were magnificent, what a view! Well worth a visit.

Had excellent stay for 2 nights recently at Simonstone Hall Hotel.Easy car parking close to front door. Friendly receptionist helped take our luggage to bedroom on 1st floor: no lifts in this 'old house' hotel.Lovely views, in beautiful weather , towards Hawes (about 1mile by road)from our window.Sheep & lambs appeared to be in every field & added to the... A really fabulous view over the dales out the back where you can sit and read/have tea. Very quiet surroundings with a few sheep sounds. Rooms are very big and clean. Dinner/breakfast was excellent with very considerate staff. Car park was big and accessible. Really great for walkers or people looking for a quiet get away.

The setting is superb - well it would be if you could see it through the low cloud and drizzle but we had a poor start when there was no offer of any asistance with our luggage from the front door to our room. The front hall was in dire need of some TLC with the furniture and decor lacking... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Simonstone Hall. We are very disappointed that your stay with us was not what we aim to offer. We are also incredibly disappointed that you felt your room was unattractive as this is one of our most popular rooms. We have recently changed all the pillows in the hotel... More

Spent one night at this beautiful old country house. From arriving and being cheerfully greeting by the receptionist to the polite waitress/waiter in the restaurant you feel thoroughly cared for and spoiled. Our room had a magnificent four poster with a glorious view of the Yorkshire Dales. Everything in the room is authentic and reminiscent of a bygone age yet... More

We enjoyed and overnight stay whilst attending a family Wedding at another Hotel in the Dales. What a lovely place, we had a superior room on the ground floor, the room was massive with an equally large en-suite with double shower. This Hotel has character & charm by the bucket full. It is tastefully decorated and not oppresive like some... More

Myself and wife stayed for two nights through TravelZoo, which made this short break value for money. The hotel is situated just outside Hawes, a lovely peaceful location. We had a Dales room which had a great view over the Dales. We found the room to be very clean, comfortable and well furnished in period furniture. The staff were very... More
