My husband and I stayed at Mount Pleasant last night as it was the closest accommodation to a party venue. The hosts, Alison and Dirk were very friendly and welcoming. The room was nicely decorated, and the bed comfy. It was very quiet and we had a lovely view of the garden. The full English breakfast scored a straight 10;... More

Sorry, just another gushing review.... I was travelling on business with a colleague when our plans changed due to snowy weather. We rang at short notice and Alison was happy to accommodate. When we arrived Alison made us feel so welcome, offering us the two self catering cottages. These were really lovely and I'll definitely visiting again sometime with my... More

Just spent one very relaxing Saturday night here in the Bullpen. Having decided to break up our trip to Scotland and found this the perfect place, very close to the A1 and A66 but in a beautiful peaceful location. Alison was the perfect host making us very welcome upon our arrival, and serving us a hearty and lovely breakfast. Had... More

The rooms at this B&B are all converted barns and as such are not located in the main farmhouse which makes it lovely and private. The rooms themselves are beautifully appointed, both decor and soft furnishings. Alison is a lovely host, very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We arrived late unfortunately and did not get to spend as much... More

Myself and three friends have stayed here for the past 3 years, if it's seclusion in luxury accommodation you want then you can't get better! The barn consists of 3 bedrooms, one with on suite, a family bathroom, a large farmhouse kitchen complete with range and a large living room with log fire. The views are to die for. We... More
