This was a lovely hotel in a lovely village. If you like original features in your room the wardrobe was original and looked like those built into houses in vidtorian times. Our room was a little small but very comfortable and everything worked including the shower. It was an electric one and not the usual kind that are attached to the taps and... We held our party here for family and friends before our Bon voyage and it was really a wonderful experience. We hired a DJ they recommended who was good (we gave him our music tastes) and had plenty of freedom to come early and decorate the room we used with our own personal touches. They were very accommodating with giving... More

We stayed on Easter Sunday with a Groupon voucher, and as we were the only people staying that night we were given the Riverside Suite. This room is very large, and very clean. As with other reviews the hotel is quite tired but has lots of character, do not be put off by the exterior view. The staff were very... More

e had a Groupon voucher and had to change dates in just about 48 hours; the manager was very accommodating and friendly and we got offered a standard double instead of the superior double. This was ok but I agree with earlier comments - the hotel is tired and in need of updating especially our room which was clean but... More

Required a room in early January so choose the Bridge Hotel. Initial view was good but the hotell is a little tired and in need of updating in certain areas. Past the frontage and reception/bar area rooms (our room) was clean but well used. Suspect this is a number of properties combined as a hotel (not a problem in itself)... More

We returned to the Bridge Hotel on a Groupon offer and stayed in a superoir room plus breakfast. The beauty of this hotel is it's staff and their friendliness, yes parts of the hotel are tired but it is an old hotel with plenty of character. Our room was warm, comfortable (the floor sloped slightly) good quality towels and plenty of... More

We booked a DBB night here for £108 and were not disappointed. We stayed 23 years ago for our wedding nite too. This time we had the Riverside Suite (its a big room with canopy bed, leather sofa. desk etc and wonderful double ended bath). The deal inc evening meal - great choices cooked beautifully (- we had Monk Fish but... More

This weekend's visit to the Bridge Hotel was an interesting experience for me. I tend to favour more modern accomodation and when I arrived I became slightly anxious as I felt the hotel was in need of some TLC. We were allocated Room 114, very clean and tidy. The bathroom was adequate, lovely towels, however we struggled to close the... More

This hotel featured lovely accommodations, a great staff and fabulous decor. Hedi was a great concierge, and we felt at home upon arrival. The staff did their very best to make our stay memorable, and they certainly succeeded. This is a quintessential accommodation on the english country side. I will certainly make plans to stay in the future.
