Fantastic little B&B, perfect for a short trip to Alnwick. Breakfast was great and the overall service was excellent - the owners not only dropped us off and picked us up from the restaurant we went to in the evening (as the galeforce winds meant it would've been an unpleasant walk), they also gave us a lift back to the... We stayed in the ground floor annex whihc has its own private side entrance and were extremely pleased with our experience. The place is spotless and we had a private tv/living room with sofa in addition to the bedroom and en-suite - very cosy and great to relax in your own space after a day out walking and exploring. The... More

Stayed here with our two daughters in the Annex whilst attending a friends wedding at the castle and had a fabulous time. Spotlessly clean, everything you could need for your comfort, and Sue went above and beyond to make our stay perfect - even driving us to the wedding in our finery so we didn't need to walk the 15... I stayed here for a short break. It is in an ideal location for lots of attractions, eg. Alnwick Castle & gardens, Barters Books, Alnwick, (all within walking distance) and lots of other beautiful places to visit with only a short car journey. (The coast, NT houses etc, and walks) The B&B itself was spotless, light and spacious. The breakfast... More

The Acorns is the perfect place to stay. Sue's warm welcome sets the tone and the ground floor suite is extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is first class and it is especially nice to be able to enjoy a stroll in the garden afterwards. Guests also have use of a bright and airy sun room. The location of... More

I stayed in Alnwick for a couple of nights at the Acorns which lies on a quiet road and is about ten minutes walk into town. Alnwick is a lovely place with lots to see and do and is very close to the breathtaking Northumbrian coast. The Acorns is a friendly, comfortable B and B. The house, garden and rooms... More

I stayed at the Acorns for one night for an interview in the town. The house is beautifully decorated with a lovely garden room and garden. Tea and cakes on arrival was greatly appreciated and breakfast was excellent. The owners go above and beyond: Sue's husband actually picked me up from nearby Alnmouth station and the next morning, Sue drove... More
