Fantastic short winter break, very relaxing. Very spacious, clean and comfortable room and use of lounge with log fire, candlelit breakfast in the morning. Just what we needed or a pre christmas getaway to escape and see some lovely coastal scenery,great advice on where togo fromlodge owners.

Stayed here on the way back from Scotland,excellent place to stay with dogs. Just off the A1 but not at all noisy. Lovely family running the place, would stay again to break the journey. Good hearty breakfast set in unusual surroundings.

Great place if you're breaking a journey to Scotland. Rooms thoughtfully done out..public areas crammed with artifacts and antiques. Seems to attract a very easy going and friendly clientele. Owners very pleasant.Noisy water tank in our room kept us awake Would use again though
