We went for a lunch with family and were a bit disappointed as it was supposed to be special lunch - the pub is very cozy inside but the food was hardly edible. My beef and veg soup was much like gravy with Sunday roast leftovers in it and I couldn't even finish. My Mum had a chicken breast with... More

We visited the Tynte last Friday and had a wonderful experience. Situated in beautiful surroundings is this country pub/restaurant which has an extensive menu to offer for good prices and operates a great service. In particular the waiting staff are very friendly and efficient. Would advise anyone in the area to visit. Hope you find this useful.

Four of us went for lunch! all four meals were poor! One was discribed as deep fried battered cod but what was on the plate looked like it had come from a Iceland box in the freezer and was covered in bread crumbs! the ribeye steak looked and tasted like a poor quality rump and the paninnis where soggy and... Service appalling! Stuck up landlord made it very clear he did nor want our business because we had a child with us!! Maybe if he had said he didn't like children on booking the table this unpleasant experience could have been avoided

We stayed here while attending a wonderful wedding. Lovely country pub, great atmosphere and lovely, helpful hosts. The rooms are very well proportioned and had a huge wet room. The rooms had been booked on our hehalf and the only suprise was twin single beds, but they were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, large portions and freshly cooked. When... More

We have just stayed at the Tynte arms with another couple and met family for an evening meal. The rooms were spacious and had everything you need. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Value for money was superb. The evening meal was freshly cooked, faultless and was restaurant quality, not typical pub food. The owners were very welcoming and we... More

Our friends had eaten here and suggested we would like it too, so we booked the four of us in for dinner. I had the mushrooms in stilton sauce, beef stroganoff with rice served with the best side salad ever and followed by chocolate brulee! The food was delicious cannot fault any of it. The Landlord and Landlady were lovely... More

Looking forward to another stay there later in the year. Very good value for money and Peter, Kath and Jackie are all excellent hosts. thank you again.
