This was a great hotel if you like to be treated like lords of the manor! We booked a deluxe room called repton which was huge and had views over the parkland and river. A fantastic country mansion retaining its family ethos in its role as a hotel. Drawing rooms and dining rooms ooze history and style. You wouldn't know it was a hotel. Once the Rees Mogg family seat, now simply a delight. Expensive but well worth it.

Everything of good quality, staff v. Attentive brilliant. Will definitely go again when it is promoted again by travel zoo. Food excellent compliments to the chefs in the kitchen. Only downside price of wine and no house wines.

Stayed here for the first time on an offer. What a beautiful property. Staff were welcoming, although we arrived early and were told to come back or sit and wait so we walked around the gardens and then sat in our car. .Service throughout our stay was very good. Dinner was delicious. The kitchen gardens look superb. Have stayed here several times and always enjoyed it. However, we now feel that the rooms are starting to look tired and in need of a refurb.

I have to say that this is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Wonderful welcome, incredibly helpful staff, first class food, spotless room and a very relaxing quiet location. They proudly display their five star hygeine rating and I would give them a five star rating as a place to stay.
