It was late at night and we trawled up and down Seager/Seagar Street for half an hour asking locals if they knew where The Hare & Five Hounds was. We were getting scared & thought we'd have to give up & go to a Premier Inn despite our booking at The Hare & Five Hounds. We sat outside a building... More

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, our room was lovely (and clean) considering we only paid £29 for the night!!! There is a lovely restaurant downstairs with high quality food, definatley recommend trying it!

From the name, slightly out of town centre location and price, I was expecting a run-of-the-mill pub/inn with accommodation. However, I was very pleasantly surprised...a real gem. Apparently totally refurbished 3 years, it was done to good standard, so the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. I also found it very clean. The Italian restaurant is VERY good - it... More

Superb. Great location for easy access to road links with lots of private parking. The rooms are spacious and adequately equiped. The food served in the restaurant is Devine. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. A real hidden gem.

Stayed for 1 night on 1st December in Room 6. Pro's: - Exterior looked presentable, good signs showing direction to hotel entrance, large car park. - Excellent welcome upon arrival from staff. - Great modern-decor double room with very large bed, lots of space with wardrobe, drawers, tea/coffee making facilities. - Shower/toilet room. Con's: - Steep narrow stairs to accommodation.... More

Very nice accommodation, reasonable price through laterooms.com. Clean and modern. Italian Restaurant on site. Staff excellent. Food was good, but a little on the expensive side. The dishes were average price, but then you have to add on sides which should have been included in the main price. CCTV of the kitchen in the restaurant, which I thought was excellent.... More

Stayed an overnight here and was pleasantly surprised. Given the price of this hotel I simply can't fault it. Had a friendly, clean, comfortable and trouble free stay. There is a restaurant attached to this hotel which looks fantastic. We were disappointed to be unable to dine here as we didn't arrive until late. If I am ever again in... More

Great little find, For price of room it is brilliant value , lovely bar/restaurant downstairs too. Beds really comfortable and decent size room, Only negative is noise early morning from people in hotel/restaurant but definatly not enough to put me off booking in future if in area.

I have to agree with the review below, sound proofing is DEFINIATELY required!! All we could hear until at least midnight on the Saturday was the 'singer' downstairs, I'm sorry but if it was good them maybe it would've been ok, but even X Factor couldn't drown it out. Also first thing Monday morning (5.30am) there was some sort of... More

We booked this hotel because it looked like excellent value for money and it is good value for money.HOWEVER there are a few major issues that would prevent me from staying again. The main one is the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We had a family staying next to us and you could hear everything that the were doing from... More
