We booked a 3 nights stay at 119 Aud per night. I was hesitating between classic cave house and mountain lodge but decided against classic cave house due to lack of tv. What to do at night without TV? Room: King size bed with electric blanket. Has central heating which can be warm if the night's not cold enough. Bathroom... More

We stayed for one night at Caves House in a grand classic room as part of a package including the Plughole tour. The tour was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the accommodation was not. The room itself was very tired with a tiny bathroom. The room was extremely hot with no ability to control the temperature while the bathroom was freezing cold.... More

While the hotel was beautiful, our experience was overwhelmingly disappointing, we booked into a grand classic room with an added "romance package" only to find out the walls are paper thin and we could hear every word being said In the rooms next to us. This I could have gotten over had the two rooms on either side of ours... More

Jenolan Caves House is a lovely example of luxury historic accommodation. The scene is set from the moment you walk into reception with impeccable decoration which is maintained throughout the whole house. We had a Grand Classic room, which was nicely furnished with a queen double bed, wardrobe, dresser and side table and chairs. The room was plenty big enough... More

We stayed mid-week in two different rooms: the Grand Classic Room and the Classic Room. The Grand Classic Room was comfortable but COLD - not connected to the main heater and with cheap single fin heaters generating no heat. Spa bath was nice, clean room, nothing special. The claim of "old world charm" with no phones or TV is just... More

Just to think that historically, Jenolan Caves was THE iconic Australian tourism destination that marketed Australia to the world. In this context, Jenolan Caves House is truly an outstanding heritage accommodation experience. In the main guest house building, we enjoyed comfortable 4 star quality rooms, and for an old building everything worked splendidly including a piping hot shower! However, no... More

We stayed two nights - one night at Mountain Lodge and the other in Caves House. Both are very different from one another in style, comfort and amenities. Four stars for each accommodation type. Mountain Lodge: King Room – B & B Rate (extra $20 p/p) Behind Caves house in a Tudor style building over three levels with parking a... More

The large and lovely hotel is reached by driving through a cave and into another era. The proportions are grand, sweeping staircase , wide hallways etc. Our room was stuffy and small , with a tiny bathroom. You'd stay here for an experience of the caves or walking, not for the food or rooms.

Old world charm. We were welcomed by a lovely cosy, well heated room crisp white bedding and a very comfy bed and a clean ensuite with plenty of hot water. Caves House retains the atmosphere of a bygone era. The corridors have wonderful pictures of early days at the Caves, the Grand Staircase is to be enjoyed and the décor... More

Jenolan caves was absolutely wonderful it was one of my best experiences and I'd definately come back again. The staff were lovely, I enjoyed the service in the restaurant and loved the cheerful and happy house keepers. :) Don't believe every thing you read try it for yourself.
