4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2013 NEW

stayed in a deluxe spa cabin for the June long weekend. It was a simple cabin from the outside but had everything you needed inside (no TV), from electric blankets to heated towel rail. The location is serene and in the middle of the bush. We had lovely views of the Hazards and were lucky with the sunny weather. Breakfast... More

While the location and the setting were picture perfect the standard of the room was not what we were expecting. Very out dated decor and unhelpful staff did not reflect the high price of the accommodation. Little things also didn't help improve the mood of the stay. While preparing to relax in the bath we spent 20 minutes looking for... More

Wanted to see Coles Bay / Freycinet while on tour around Tassie. Freycinet Lodge rated well. Arrived to find several Freycinet Lodge brochure-advertised activities either closed for the season (boat trip) or not running due to low numbers (adventure rides). Also, part of the park was closed by Forestry for burn-off. We decided to move on after one night due... More

My advise is do not stay at Freycinet Lodge in winter. Most of the activities advertised are not available. Our check in was friendly and smooth. The room was pleasant enough on first inspection - but we were to discover a sticky substance on the bench top - like a jam on it. Black marks on the sheets. The steak... More

We stayed for two nights in the Freycinet cabin (cabin 8) and were very pleased. The cabin is modern and big enough for 4 (we were 2 adults and a small child); it has a big bed and a sofa-bed. There is also a small balcony with water views, very pleasant. The cabin has a heat pump (really nice at... More

As the only accommodation within the Freycinet National Park we picked the Lodge because of the location however were quite disappointed with how outdated the look and feel of the property was. The main building sits right on the edge of the water at the north end of Richardson's Beach with a spectacular outlook. In regards to easy access to... More

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May with my boyfriend. We chose the Wineglass Premier Suite, mainly for the spa. Check in was smooth and only took a matter of minutes, and we were given the suite right next to the bistro (room 27? I think). At first we were worried it would be noisy, however... More

We stayed only for 1 night but it felt longer due to its laid back atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was 1st rate with a day lounge and balcony. Restaurant was 1st rate for dinner and bistro served an excellent buffet breakfast. Great location allowing you to access all local attractions easily.

Room was ok. Nothing special and certainly not worth the tariff. The breakfast was very average but one highlight was the cray dinner and the cocktails. The views of the mountains were beautiful and went some way to overcoming gloomy cabins. The walks which were close by were great

We have been at least yearly visitors to Freycinet Lodge since it opened. I was so disappointed with our weekend away this year. Our premier cabin was lovely as always. The two thin blankets they provide are inadequate and doonas would provide more warmth and comfort. When we went to the Lodge for dinner, there was a real lack of... More

Dear Maggiesfamily Thank you for taking the time to contact Freycinet Lodge and letting us know of your concerns.
