Spent our first night in Tasmania here in March 2013, what a lovely introduction to our two week holiday. The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming and the complimentary beer and port is a nice touch. Our room was spacious and clean although the soft furnishings and carpets could do with replacing, bed a little hard but that seems to... More

I had lived in Ulverstone for more than 20 years and always wondered what was down the tree-lined driveway off South Road. Having been away for a year, it was nice to come back and visit friends and use Boscobel as a base, being just 10 minutes walk from the town. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable--and prepared a... More

Have stayed at Boscobel a few times on business, but it would be great as a base for exploring the area. The owners are delightful, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much effort. And the breakfasts, well..................!!!!! Awesome

The history surrounding this grand property pervades your every moment. It is a very comfortable and spacious B&B with friendly and welcoming hosts. The frosty winter outside was counteracted by the warmth within.

My husband accidentlally found this little treasure, and we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights of stay. The rooms are lovely and clean and the hospitality of the hosts can't be beaten. It might be a bit ostentatious and oldy-worldy, but it's also very comfortable, warm, inviting and welcoming. A full english style breakfast is served exactly as you requested, and... More

After driving into Ulverstone and checking out the other possibilties ( very sad ) we were very pleased to stumble upon this B & B. It was a grand old home with plenty of antiques and frilly home touches. Although i think the decor and rooms are starting to look a little old and run down (im sure under that... More

We've stayed here recently for 1 night. Hosts were friendly. Breakfast was lovely and generous. Rooms are a little run down. we were staying in the Rose room. Price was resonable for the room we were staying at. Location was good, easy access to all facilities. The complimentary wireless broadband internet was blessed.

Enjoyed a stay with my husband recently in this charming Georgian mansion, the oldest home in Ulverstone on the northern Tasmanian coast, set in an acre of garden with 100-year old oaks forming an arch over the driveway entrance. Our room - the Rose Room - was furnished romantically with roses and lace. Although no air conditioning, there was a... More
