We come to Cannon Beach once or twice a year for a peaceful getaway from Seattle. Love staying by the estuary -- it's quiet, a lovely spot to watch the waves, birds, sunsets, moon sets, the occasional bunny rabbit and sometimes even elk. Stayed at Sea Sprite for the first time because our usual place was unavailable, enjoyed the more upscale spa inspired atmosphere. Osprey Suite (Room 24) had a spacious bath room with a jetted tub (which we did not try, but it looked nice). Living room area was comfy, nice sofa and a wingback reading chair in front of a gas fireplace. Plenty of nice towels and fixtures to hang them in the bath room -- extra beach towels and even kitchen towels located in the second floor corridor closet, along with a washer/dryer (no coins required, eco laundry soap provided). Sand toys for kids and extra room supplies also thoughtfully tucked into the corridor closet. Lantern and candles thoughtfully in cupboard above the refrigerator. Everything very clean. Beds were comfy. Took a little while to realize there was a key to unlock the Murphy bed, it worked very well for our adult son. Very nice, cushy quilt on the king bed in the main bed room. Kitchen is well equipped. High quality Sleepy Monk coffee provided for the drip coffee maker, plus a small assortment of Stash teas. I did not cook this trip, but all the tools to whip up meals were there. Stove/oven and dishwasher are New York apartment sized, more than adequate for a vacation. Our dishwasher was broken, only hiccup this stay. There was no wash tub/rack in the kitchen, so I pulled the bottom rack out of the dishwasher, put it on the counter on top of a towel, that worked well. Minuses: Not much closet space in this particular suite, only a small closet in the main bed room. Two cute racks to hang outwear in the entryway made up for this somewhat. Could hear chairs being pushed around in the upstairs suite, probably from use of the kitchen table set. Was not a problem otherwise, as in any small inn, some neighbor noise is to be expected. Nice that the door to the unit is on a punch code lock -- made it easy for all three of us to come and go as each wished without having to coordinate physical keys. Location is ideal, close to nature, right by the estuary and beach, with a 20-minute or so walk to the Haystack, and a couple of blocks walk to town. Lovely little deck from which to watch the sunset in the evening, and drink coffee in the morning (after you wipe the deck chair of morning dew, of course). Would happily stay again!

This is everything as advertised; wonderful location, stunning views, delightful space. But we spent two nerve wracking nights here, all we heard in room 24 (including falling asleep and waking up to) was footsteps, door slamming, chair dragging, and random banging from the space above us. The only reprieve we got was a very sweet 2-4pm; after the first group checked out, after the cleaning lady left (she was very nice!), but before the next group checked in at 4pm, it was such a tease to see how magic it could be. I don't believe it was inconsiderate guests, I think it's an unfortunate trait of the construction that everything your upstairs neighbors do you hear. If that kind of noise doesn't bother you, or you get the top floor room, absolutely stay its wonderful! But if you expect a level of peace in your space that matches the quality of the stunning views and fabulous space, either wear your noise cancelling headphones the whole time or find another option.

Coming from the Midwest, when we come to Cannon Beach, we need to stay by and see the ocean since that’s something we don’t get to enjoy very often. For us, that means we stay at either the Surfsand or Sea Sprite on the Estuary. Sea Sprite on the Estuary has everything you need access to - a short walk from downtown, and an easy walk to the south side of town, too. Easy parking. Gorgeous views of the estuary / beach / ocean. Inside, all of the suites have full kitchens, bigger bathrooms than most of us have at home, comfy beds, balconies, and fireplaces. Easy access to a washer/dryer on the 2nd floor is available, detergent was provided. The rooms are showing their age a little, but nothing of concern, since everything is done up so incredibly well. Also, kitchen was stocked with Stash tea and Sleepy Monk coffee. Great customer service by the staff. We will be back!

Great location. Great view. Had a romantic, wonderful stay despite the pandemic. Basic kitchen set up but totally workable. Gas fireplace could have been turned up a bit for more flame ambiance but didn’t take away from all the pluses.

Our family is traveling through Oregon and stayed two nights at the Sea Sprite on the Estuary. We are so happy we chose this place! The location is phenomenal. You can walk to the main drag of Cannon Beach or right out to the beach. Walking to Haystack is East and enjoyable. The view from our room made every moment of our stay so pleasant. In the afternoons, we enjoyed watching the rabbits hop around outside our window and liked watching the sunset in the evening. We loved having the laundry facilities (to wash our clothes after a day of crabbing). The service from Grace at the front desk is exceptional. She replied very promptly to every email or call. We honestly cannot ask for anything more. It was money well spent for this hotel.

We spent three nights in this beautiful hotel. This photo is the view from our living room.. this studio is beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped and the deep bathtub was restoring. After 6 weeks on a road trip, we felt these three days have been so wonderful for us. The location of the hotel and the size of this hotel are great. It is secluded yet we can walk right into the charming downtown of Cannon Beach. Grace at the main office of Sea Sprite hotel was incredibly helpful! Thank you!

When going to the coast, we like to try new places to see if they will be our "go to" hotel for future visits. This was a lovely place to stay. It was peaceful and had a beautiful view of the ocean and river. The room was clean and wonderfully decorated. It had all the kitchen necessities we needed to make cook breakfast. We enjoyed sitting in the living room and staying warm next to the fireplace. The one thing I was excited for as the jetted soaking tub. I don't have a tub at home and wanted to relax with a bath bomb and enjoy the jets. However, the jets did not work. I was really disappointed, but still relaxed in the tub. We stayed in the Tide Pool Suite on the 1st floor.

I really hate to spread the word about this place, because I'd love it to be available when I call. Oh well, I think the secret's out. This is my favorite spot and view in Cannon Beach. The feeling of being surrounded by views of the beach and Ecola Creek is so serenely peaceful everything else is icing on the cake. Our favorites are the one room suites with full kitchens and huge jetted soaker tubs. Rooms have always been immaculately clean, and the decor and furnishings are beautiful and done in soft colors and quality fabrics. Such comfortable place to come to get away for some much needed rest. There was little thumping around above, the first time we've experienced it when staying here, because there was a family with small children running around in the suite above, but it wasn't enough to wake us as we used a white noise app at night and it was noise cancelling enough. It's a splurge to stay here but we find it's completely worth it. Thank you Sea Sprite!

This was our first stay in Cannon Beach. We stayed in the suite on the top floor. It is a beautifully appointed suite with a wonderful view of the ocean. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We arrived just before our check-in time at 3; the staff was already gone but emailed our entry codes. We walked by a laundry closet on the 2nd floor, but we did not use it. We only stayed one night, so we didn't investigate amenities. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pans, coffee maker and coffee; we didn't use it because I don't cook when we are on vacation. The only drawbacks were the chairs on the patio (one had a screw poking out of the seat by 2 1/2 inches) and the other had a slat broken from the middle of the chair. There is also no air conditioning in the unit. Arguably, the average temperature does not necessitate the use of an HVAC more than a few weeks per year. However, the rooms do get quite stuffy. The windows can be opened, and overhead fans can circulate the air, but not as efficiently as an HVAC. Most importantly, one of the guest below us was cooking something cloyingly sweet and pungent ALL NIGHT LONG (probably in the crock pot as it had that burnt crock pot smell the following morning.) Sleeping was impossible as the smell permeated everything. Even if the smell had been pleasant, it would still have been too strong to be comfortable. An HVAC or stronger air circulation system would have allowed the air to circulate and the smell to dissipate. As lovely as the place was, sleeping was impossible and made our stay less than perfect.
