I am going to start off by saying, that I am VERY hard to please when it comes to hotels and I have extremely high expectations while at the property. With that said, I feel as though the Van Buren Lighthouse Inn has went above and beyond my expectations and there is no question about whether or not I will... More

The Van Buren Lighthouse Inn offer the best deal that we've found in Cannon Beach! It's a cute place, spacious & clean rooms, an easy walk to all the downtown restaurants & shops, it's only one block from the ocean, and the rates are unbeatable in the off season (Oct-May)! We wish that it was oceanfront, but then we'd have... More

The best think about the Van Buren Lighthouse Inn is its how close it is to the heart of Cannon Beach. You are an easy walk to the beach and Haystack Rock, shops and restaurants. The worst thing is how close you are to your neighbors. You can hear everything going on in the next door unit, and the unit... More

We recently spent 2 weekend nights in #27 at a great price of $99.99 per night. Nice touches of having saltwater taffy to greet us along with a dog basket that contained dog treats, towel, a frisbee and two sheets to lay out if the dog was going to be on bed or furniture. This is a very short walk... More

Convenient location, near downtown and haystack rock. It was nice that the room was separated into a living area/kitchen and bedroom. Allowing one of us to sleep in a bit longer while the other could watch tv or read in the other room. Also, the bath tub was amazing; it had jets which come in useful after a day of... More

My only mistake was not reading the Trip Advisor before we booked here. The other reviewers were absolutely right. If you are downstairs you will hear every footstep, every conversation, anything that drops on the floor, unattended dogs barking. The room is nice, the location is great and the price was good. Because of the noisy upstairs neighbors none of the... More

Not sure why all the bad reviews. Staff we encountered were responsive and helpful. Property was nice - yes no view and a block from the beach but they don't lie about that. Based on reviews we were very concerned about noise but were on top floor and did not hear others. Kinda spendy but nice location and would not... More

Spacious suites at a competitive [for this popular area] price. Only 1.5 blocks to the main beach area and a 10 minute walk to downtown restaurants, shops etc. However, three phone calls to confirm rooms and dates [requesting written or email confirmation] meant explaining all the same details of our 2 rooms, 3 night reservation to yet another person. We... More

We booked three days at the Van Buren Lighthouse, room #31 and when we got there we were surprised to find out that it was NOT on the beach. The photos kind of put you under that impression, but its NOT on the beach and they even say on the website that its "a block" from the beach so its... More
