Starting your wine country tour at the Grand Lodge is a great idea. Three of us left Portland headed for McMinnville and began our day with breakfast at the Lodge. Fully carbo-loaded, we felt we'd laid an appropriate layer down for a day of tasting. Save time for a soak in the outdoor pool if you can, as visitors can... More

Yes, it is noisy. No, it isn't quite Edgefield with its amenities. But it is in a beautiful area near all of the Willamette wineries and it is a great escape. I love everything about this place, including the soaking pool, pool tables in the Dr.'s Office and all of the Mcmenamin's extra's like live music and movie nights. I... More

So I've been to this property several times years back for happy hour, sit by the fire, etc. But this is my first review of the Grand lodge. It was my girlfriends birthday and we had planned a trip to McMenamins Edgfield (East of Portland but found out last minute that our plans had to change and so we stayed... More

We've stayed at several McMenamin properties over the years including several stays ad the Grand Lodge. We stayed on a Sunday night and had great refreshments in a couple of the bars and the theater. The soaking tub was nice on a cool evening. Being a Sunday there were probably only a half a dozen rooms occupied, including the one... More

I love this place... beautiful grounds, incredible building, funky art... I was on a bike tour of local vineyards with a friend and we stayed in a couple of different McMenamins. I love the movie cinema (excellent snacks!) and the bars but best of all, the great soaking pool! Very nice size and good and warm (slightly hot... I don't... More

We've stayed at Olympic Club and Edgefield and loved both. This place - Eh. It had the famous McMenamins vibe with the art and the beer but our room with the terminator stout package was so small and right next to the desk. They had some junk fair going on so the place was packed when we checked in so... More

I travel a lot for business, so any time my husband and I have to get away as a couple is a treat. Edgefield was booked, so we decided to try something new and went off to the Grand Lodge for an evening. We bought the Hammerhead package and enjoyed drinks at Pat's outdoor bar (we went inside because it... More

went with a group for a beer and dinner (we did not stay at the hotel). The building was funky, and full of people of all ages. A bit chaotic. It is clearly a hub for the town. Food at the main upstairs sit down restaurant was average. More

The Frisbee Golf course and corresponding bar are what make the Grand Lodge stand apart from other McMenamins. Its got all the classic components of a good McMenamins: History, Artwork, Bars, Soaking Pool, Theater, etc. While the large lodge makes one expect a similar experience as Edgefield, the grounds are not as large as Edgefield and lack the amount of bars...
