Summit Meadow Cabins have been providing memorable getaways for families and small groups since 1982 when Dave and Wendy decided to share this unique setting located south of Government Camp in a small section of private land surrounded by national forest. Our fully outfitted cabins are located in a wooded, creekside setting on Mt Hood's southern flank.Close to hikes, bike trails, lakes, wildflowers, birding and more, it's the perfect place for a summer family reunion, a small group activity or a secluded getaway for a couple. Once the snow falls, guests leave their car behind and GET to xc ski or snowshoe 1.5 miles to reach the cabins which are in the middle of a great xc ski and snowshoe trails system. Most don't return to their cars until it's time to head for home.
