I live close to Lake of the Woods and find myself spending much time there in the summer months. You can't beat the mix of modern rustic and rustic cabins to choose from with all amenities. Complete with views of the lake, cozy red adirondack chairs and fire pits to roast your evening marsh mellows. If you don't feel like... More

We are in the local area and have loved this place for 30 years, but under the old ownership it was infrequently available and managed poorly. NOW, with new owners, it is fabulous. The lake and all it offers is wonderful. The cabins have a heart warming decor of 40's rustic, with plaid curtains, quilted bedding, woodsy paintings of the... More

My Wife and I have spent our last four Anniversaries at Lake of the Woods in our special cabin. Great food, service and location. And you have your own private fire pit! Stephen Edwards Jacksonville, OR

The folks that write bad reviews paid little attention to the easily available facts. Dont rent the smallest, cheapest cabin expecting Ritz Carlton!! We have been here many times now and love it. We always stay in Cabin 13 which is now 14. We stay off season when one would expect the worst but we always experience the best ! The... More

We so happy you enjoy coming to the resort, it's such a great time of the year to visit and soak up the solitude. There's no shortage of things to do and even if we were a little busier there would still be plenty of peace and quiet for everyone. See you next year! More

The location of this campground can't be beat. It is close to some of the most beautiful places Oregon has to offer inland. My husband and I, along with his parents, took our RVs and camped at two of the sites without full hookups. The sites are large and we had plenty of space to spread out. Once I saw... More

We did not stay in the cabins but some looked much newer and bigger than others. I would have rated the Resort higher but or RV site was a little challenging with hook-ups. Overall I thought the property was charming. As a previous reviewer said "very 60's family resort" feel. Loved the marina, you can rent all types of boats.... More

This property is just beautiful and the setting is spectacular. The vintage cabins are adorable and we knew going in that it was a vintage cabin and were not expecting a modern place. The things we were expecting for almost $300/night were comfortable beds and a clean cabin. The double bed in our cabin was like sleeping in a hammock... More

Nice clean cabins, but very small and very basic accommodations. I would have liked to have a wash basin and a mirror for my morning shave. Not much to ask for $150 per night. Telling the customers to clean the cabin or pay an extra $50 for clean up is silly. Too bad, the lake and the forest are beautiful.

"If you decide to leave early, you will still be charged.". That was the first thing the girl at the check-in desk told us when we arrived for our mandatory two night stay in Cabin 6 at Lake of the Woods Resort. Or in other words, "When you see what your cabin looks like and decide to run screaming from... More

It is unfortunate that the guest who wrote this review did not even take the opportunity to come talk with a manager or one of the owners. Cabin #6 is one of the oldest cabins at the resort not to mention the Lake. The resort has 8 of the vintage cabins and many very happy people who like the simple... More

The cabins and resort have a very 60's family getaway feel. I took my kids up to the resort and we had such a great time! They had a movie night, live music, a bonfire, a bbq at night, a great little store, and lots of water activities. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, this is a... More
