Just a few minutes walk to the train station, where you can easily get to the downtown area. The bus costs $2.50 one way. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. A couple of drawbacks were the lack of power outlets in the room for my laptop, cell phone and a fee for parking (a nominal amount).

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told by the clerk that my reservation was cancelled. I didn;t understand how that could be since I only made the reservation 48 hours prior. Great hospitality here. Very welcoming staff. Yummy cocktails. The orange water in the lobby was a nice touch.Shuttle was prompt and driver helpful. Pool area was clean and well cared for. No complaints about our stay at the Crown Plaza Portalnd at all.
