Musty, moldy and dusty. The air in the whole place made me asthmatic and sick. They also decided to start renovations. Just made the whole place even worse. The health department should shut the place down until they can clean the air and replace all the moldy rugs. Don't stay here!

My husband booked us a night at The Governor as a romantic stay in Portland. We had a lovely dinner downstairs at the restaurant and then coffee in the Starbucks in the morning. I was especially impressed with the hotel room bathroom - size was amazing and the decorating was simple but elegant.

The tile in the bathroom was dirty, there were stains on the chair next to the bed and there was only 1 packet of sugar for coffee in the morning even though there were two guest registered for the room. I just took a five week business trip and this was the only place I stayed with superb service. From EVERYONE not just some staff. Nice room, spacious. Food was good. Only complaint is the layout is confusing.
