We loved loved loved the Old Wheeler Hotel. We were greeted so warmly and our room, I think was the best of the lot. The antiques made it seem like home. The breakfast room was so warm and comfy and so was our bed! This place is a gem! Our names were on our door (room #5) when we arrived... More

The Old Wheeler Hotel is a tiny gem on Orego's north coast. It's one of the few (only?) places to stay in or around the modest hamlet (pop. 300) of Wheeler, which is nestled at the back of scenic Nehalem Bay and almost at the foot of forested Mt. Neahkahnie. My wife and I spent just one night there in... More

My girlfriend and i fell in love instantly! We loved every room and the place is well put together. What I liked the most about the place is that it has the antique look with a new age style. We will definitely comeback. By the way, this review is 20 minutes into our stay so that goes to prove how... More

Omnipresent Kathie Brown and staff run a great B&B. From having our names posted on room #8, the 2 room suite, to the excellent breakfast choices and complimentary lemon-infused water+tea/coffee throughout the day, it was a pleasant stay. All of the rooms are well appointed--first rate quality. Fellow guests included a couple from Portland, a couple from Germany and a... More

The hotel was originally built in 1920 but has been upgraded. The rooms are clean, pleasant and quiet. The breakfast and lounge room is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly. The entry area smells a little musty but the rooms are fine. More

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the old hotel and room. Beds were great and bathrooms remodeled. Stayed in room 6, no view but nice two person tub. If you stay I would eat somewhere else other than place across the street was 'Sunset Grill' was brutally bad. More

Loved the hotel. It is a perfect spot over looking the bay. Wheeler is a small town but you can very easily go up or down the coast from here and explore. The staff that worked here were great! It is a quaint bed and breakfast so if your looking for a big nice hotel this is not the place... More

The Old Wheeler Hotel offers ambiance, romance, and a cozy retreat from the bustle of daily life. Relax with a hot cup of coffee or tea and a good book or revel in the amazing views of Nehalem Bay and its colorful sunsets. Better yet, journey north or south to visit dramatic coastal areas, walk on secluded beaches, or climb... More

We were so lucky to have found and stayed at the Old Wheeler Hotel. The owner, Katie is very gracious and the whole staff there made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Each room is nicely appointed in gorgeous old antiques with each room having it's own individual flavor. The breakfast room / game room is beautiful and looks out... More
