This was a much anticipated stop on my solo trek up the western seaboard. Like so many of the reviews I read before booking, staying at a lighthouse keepers residence was a bucket list item. I mentally prepared myself to not be disappointed, no matter what. I needn't have, as It was all that I had hoped it would be,... More

My wife and I spent a week celebrating our anniversary on Oregon's central coast, and Heceta Head Lighthouse was the centerpiece of our trip. We were not disappointed in the least with our choice. The lighthouse is undergoing restoration and was not open during our stay but was mostly complete and unveiled. The restoration is due to be completed in... More

We spent two nights here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Stayed in Mariner 1 and enjoyed a fabulous view of the ocean. The seven-course breakfast is wonderful, with each course presented beautifully. It was fun to get to know the other guests as we chatted over our leisurely meal. There are great beaches to hike, as well as the Hobbit... More

We spent two nights in the Mariner I room. It is very small, but adequate. There is only one chair, so unless you sit on the high bed, you can't sit by the window and enjoy the view. The seven course breakfast is very good, but if there are twelve guests, like our first night, expect breakfast to last 90... More

My husband and I visited here for an anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay. There are many hiking and outdoor opportunities in the area, which we particularly enjoyed. The B&B recommended a restaurant nearby for dinner that we found to be great. The room was clean and comfortable. The B&B is cozy and feels just like home, with the fireplaces... More

We just stayed three nights and had a great time. This B&B is isolated, so you will be driving to one of the nearby towns for dinner. The views of the lighthouse, beach, and tide pools are wonderful. There are nearby hiking trails. They have free wireless internet and there is limited cell service in the area. Breakfast is fantastic... More

What a great opportunity to be able to stay in such an historic house. The house is warm and inviting, sitting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, with the lighthouse a short walk away. The seven course breakfast is incredible and something you always remember. We stayed in Victoria's room, the one reportedly most visited by resident ghost Rhue.... More

Took The Hubbs for a 2-night stay for his Birthday right after Christmas, and really enjoyed a cozy wintertime stay on the Oregon Coast! Looking forward to returning in May or June when the newly restored lighthouse is actually re-lit! It's the brightest light on the entire coast, maybe of all US lighthouses--visible for 21 miles! We could not have... More

The location is stunning, the grounds beautiful, the old house is well-kept, but this B&B lacks atmosphere and warmth. We very much enjoyed our two nights here on a holiday get-away around New Years. The weather was clear and warm, perfect for the many walks in the area on the beaches and up into the mountains. While the sea was... More

Views of the ocean are spectacular. Awesome natural beauty. Lovely old house (former duplex used by the 1st and 2nd assistant lighthouse keepers) has been updated into a lovely B&B. Breakfast was delicious. Can't go wrong for a romantic get-away. Highly recommended.
