Four nights at The Sportsman's Arms and I am looking forward to the next time. Christine and Rob made us so welcome, right from the moment we crossed the threshold. Our room was of ample size, comfy bed and everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the lovely cosy bar was just right after a full day's sightseeing and rambling... More

Thank you both very much! You certainly packed a lot into your four days, and you left us some sunshine behind too! More

When we arrived and were greeted by our first names we knew we had arrived in a friendly, family run pub/B&B. Our ensuite room was clean, comfortable and spacious. One of the twin aspect windows overlooked the train tracks, but despite the proximity of the railway, the trains were very quiet and not at all intrusive. We had a light breakfast,... More

This is a fabulous place to stay completely faultless. We have just returned from a wonderful Easter break staying four nights with Rob and Christine. They made us feel so welcome. The rooms are exceptional, very comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooked breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble. This is the perfect location... More

Very friendly welcome, from Rob and Christine, very clean and tidy room with all you could need. Although no evening meal, good directions to another local pub. Locals friendly and chatty, a regular home from home. Guinness on Tap and on form! Just off the main road but readily accessible, to continue my journey tomorrow.

Another trip to Cornwall and it had to be another stay at the Sportsmans Arms - 2 years since my last visit and a lot of updates and tweaks to the already excellent rooms. This time I had the pleasure of 2 nights, before and after the Cornish Marathon and another great welcome - almost a "home from home".

Sportmans arms is definitely our faveourite place to go! Everyone is always so friendly, Rob and Christine (owners) are very welcoming and friendly, the drinks are the best prices for miles around, there's a brilliant pool table and jukebox! The locals all get on well, and always have great fun, definately ten out of ten!!!

This is a wonderful and inviting place, I have had the privilege of eating, drinking and staying here on numerous occasions and have always been more than happy with every aspect of the service. (And the locals!!) All the positive reviews about this place are absolutely spot on, to the negative review, I would say that is a reflection of... More

Perhaps I am biased but compared to my usual stops this place offered me everything I wanted. A lovely smart & clean room with a nice view, next to a railway line. Don't let that put you off the trains are very infrequent and didn't bother me one iota. The atmosphere in the place was very friendly, but be aware... More

Hello everyone - this is just a note to let you know that we are shown in the wrong place on the map! We are actually only 300yds from the A38 (opposite Menheniot Station) and NOT almost 2 miles into the lanes. This should be corrected shortly. And..... Bob, thanks for your review! More

Our hosts were exceedingly helpful and friendly, they even let us leave our car in the big car park while we were doing a 10 days round-trip of Cornwall on bike. The breakfast was good and plenty, the pub very comfortable, the rooms big, recently renovated and clean, and the nearby train station and major road are perfect starting points... More

The owners are welcoming and friendly and keep the rooms and bar spotlessly clean. I had a good hearty full English breakfast after an excellent night's sleep in very a comfortable bed. Will definitely stay again
