We spent three nights here. We had a wonderful time. The house was lovely and the garden was absolutely beautiful and serene. Hilary was very accommodating and gave us great recommendations for restaurants. She also served a lovely breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

Your host Hilary is a delight, attention to detail is superb a++++ relaxing tranquil garden and outdoor space with only four rooms it maintains its intimate feel and cozy atmosphere. I'd love to come back and try the self contained cottage at the rear

We stayed for 5 night in the "Kimono" room and the whole place is just fantastic. It is soo quiet and relaxing. Especially the day bed, you just got to love that one! The garden is beautiful and the whole place is so nicely decorated. It is only about 5 minutes to CBD but away from all noise. We would... More

Hilary is the most gorgeous host - she has thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is AMAZING - found myself not needing lunch (and I'm a big eater). Stayed in the king ensure room, which is beautifully decorated and has all the mod cons. The bed is to die for (wish I could take it home... More

My hubby and I were looking for a more "adult" lodging opportunity walking distance from the Byron Bay Brewery and Buddha Bar as we were attending a concert. We happened along this wonderful place and can´t recommend it highly enough! Thanks to HIllary for making us feel welcome, relaxed, and actually a bit spoiled in such a lovely space. We... More

It's difficult to imagine that you are so close to town, such is the tranquil atmosphere of Burns at Byron. The gardens are part Balinese temple grounds, part luxury hippy chic. The beds are comfortable, breakfasts are lavishly prepared by chef-manager Hilary, and the outside bathroom is an unusual treat!

Everything that other reviews have said I agree with, no need to add any more, just two more satisfied couples! When I come back to Byron again (not often enough), I would like to stay here again. Others may not agree with my 'excellent' score for location, because it's not near the beach, it's in a quiet residential street behind... More

I love this place, I instantly feel at home when I get here. It is lovely and tranquil and I almost don't want to write a review because then more people will know about it and I may not get a room next time if it get's too popular. It is really close to the main street just a five... More

Beautiful old federation style home, Balinese style decor throughout the house and huge rear garden deck area. We stayed for several nights and loved it. Hilary is a great host and made us feel most welcome without ever intruding into our space. Great healthy breakfast, home made muesli, superb breads, ranges of all types of teas and lovely local coffee.... More
