Stayed for 1 night in a two bedroom room. It was situated on the first floor up a flight of stairs. No lift. It was quite small and felt a bit claustrophobic as only very small windows in each room. It did however have a small table and chairs in the 2nd bedroom which was handy. A very small tv... More

Feels like home here but better as i don't have to wash up. late out of Sydney again.... mates who'd have em...no problem Gundagai only 5 hours away for a great nights sleep, well off the highway, no noise. I had enough noise today with new pipes on the bike... silence is good. Great meal, and nice people with personality... More

Stayed here several times and always found it clean, quiet (very important to me) as it is off a main highway, and comfortable. Very friendly hosts. They gave us great advice about where NOT to eat in town! Will stay here again!

Booked a double room at this motel using an internet booking site. The price at the time I thought was reasonable, however when we arrived noticed signs out at two adjoining motes for rates cheaper than this motel. The room was dated with old fashioned bedspread and carpet. However the linen, pillows and blankets were very clean. The room was... More

First of all I have to make it clear that I hate motels - they are cold and soulless places, however after making a last minute late at night stop in Gundagai on the way to Sydney recently, we happened to walk into the Sovereign Motel, one of the first motels off the highway. The young lady (can't remember her... More

Dear Abdan Thank you for your review. We do endeavour to make our guests as comfortable as possible. The journey is long from Sydney or Melbourne to Gundagai so a little "home away from home" makes the drive a little less strenuous. We look forward to welcoming you back. More

Decent bed - nice room and good water quality. Car could be parked at the door. They have thought of a few extra's - not only just air con and roof fan but room had an extra heater - things that motels forget. Having been in motels now every second night for nearly two weeks, this is the first motel... More

This was an inexpensive night, free wi fi, continental breakfast included. The room had a lounge, separate toilet, shower was spotlessly clean. We had a queen size bed, no complaints at all. There were budget rooms available as well but we were in a motel type wing. There were a lot of rooms to choose from.

It was a bed for the night, not too expensive for a motel room for someone passing through quickly on my way to a funeral in Canberra. Small room with one double bed. Very warm and stuffy when I opened the door to the room, even though the fan was on. Room was clean and tidy, but there were a... More

Thank you for your review. We are all looking forward for the 40 plus temperatures to pass!! Our apologies for the flies on the floor. The room was used the night before and cleaned, however, with the heat we are finding it hard to keep them at bay. Digital TV's are being purchased this week to replace the set top... More

Room was clean and pleasant. We had comfortable beds, and a good value continental breakfast on site for $9 each (but instant coffee only - filtered coffee for breakfast would have been appreciated). Room noisy due to people in room above us - our wing of the motel was just timber, not brick, so even a relatively quiet family group... More

Thank you for your review and we will take into account your comments regarding the second storey noise. There are only a small number of rooms upstairs (with the other 30 being all ground level) , the majority of which are spread over three separate buildings. Make sure you prebook!!! We had to make a snap trip. Gundagai looked like a good place to break the trip. We rang to book a room and finished paying the full rack price. Compared with other places we have stayed recently with higher star rating it was expensive.

Thank you for your review. Gundagai is a much sought after stop-over for the Sydney / Melbourne traffic during peak holiday periods and as such fills up very quickly. I am glad we could assist with a room and look forward to welcoming you back. More
