The Chatelaine B&B has a long-standing history since 1985. The Federal-style farmhouse is on the edge of a small village just 5 miles from PSU and all the dynamic activities of a university town, State College. There are 4 guestrooms decorated in what we call "Generationl Layering." Our adjoining Carriage House where we do Weddings and other Loving Liaisons is a Wicker-Wrought Iron Greatroom in the Shabby Chic style, with a caterers' kitchen and 2 Powder Rooms. The Guestrooms have private baths on the second floor and a shared bath on the 3rd floor, though those 2 rooms each have a lavatory en suite. There is a propane fireplace in the Swan Room and an electric fireplace in the Dawn room on the 3rd floor. Our beds are either King or Extra Long Twins which are often made up as a king. Three of the rooms have capabilities for a 3rd person in Loveseat Sofabeds or a Futon Lounge Chair. The grounds boast a Patio and a Gazebo surrounded by an everchanging display of flowers. The Tenting area used for Weddings is adjacent to the Deck of the Carriage House and faced by a Terraced Flower Garden. Breakfast is our forte, with at least"A Month of Sunday Breakfast Menus" and china to set the table a dozen different ways. We offer hampers of sodas with glasses and ice. Each bedside has a decanter of cordials with tiny goblets, and we happily brew coffee or tea at the slightest intimation of your interest.
