We chose this hotel on price. Downtown charleston looked far too expensive but you probably sacrifice proximity for value. Saying that this is a nice hotel with views over river (we asked for balcony) and pleasant surroundings/pool area etc. we had a vehicle kept in free parking so popping into town wasn't a problem. “Great View But....”

We were down for the Food & Wine Festival and enjoyed our stay. However make sure you have transportation to food and shopping. We used the shuttle and taxis since parking in town can be a challenge. In fact we even walked back once! All in all a fine time!
