There are no hotels on Edisto Island. Wyndham Ocean Ridge is essentially several groups of timeshare condos. The units range from several years told to newer (built within the last 6 or so years). Ocean Ridge was a mixed bag. Access to the resort via route 174 was a dreadful experience with over 6 miles of milled pavement providing a rough, dusty, noisy ride--even in a BMW.
