We stayed here while visiting Charleston and not wanting to pay the high prices of downtown hotels. The place was very clean and nicely updated. The breakfast was good and the price was reasonable for a generally expensive area. Would stay again.

Sounds redundant to others, but this Hampton Inn is really a great choice when downtown Charleston is too expensive. You will wind up spending $5-10 every time you go downtown, but only a 5 minute drive so no big deal. Just over the bridge from Charleston is this lovely hotel in Patriots Point. The room was very quiet and the bed was great. Friendly staff and the free breakfast was good but the serving room was a little small when it got crowded. If you don't mind driving for three minutes, hotel is perfect for seeing Charleston by foot. It is also near the USS Yorktown, and the ferry to visit Fort Sumter. Plus, we found some good restaurants in Mt. Pleasant in addition the much extolled ones in Charleston. We thought of it as a great central location.

This was a very friendly hotel with very helpful staff. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. It does make a difference to have a fridge in the room. The location of this hotel is excellent to get to Charleston and anywhere in Mount Pleasant. To be recommended!
