I stayed there and was charged $150 for what was described as the housekeepers smelling smoke in my room. I was only one in the room and I don't smoke. Management refused to reverse the charge.
Beware!

Stayed at the Bullock almost exactly one year ago, and am pleased to report that the service was much more attentive than previously. It's a beautiful restored to period hotel, in the middle of Deadwood. I highly recommend; won't stay anywhere else in Deadwood!

I have had a couple of months behind me since last staying at the Bullock in August and realized that I had failed to put in another positive comment. Although the management had changed hands, we still received a warm welcome and enjoyed eating great, over-the-top breakfasts at Bully's! We only wished it had stayed open for dinner as well...

Great friendly service. Check-in counter was more towards the back of the 1st floor which took me back a bit as when I entered the front doors, it led me up a big staircase. I had to come back down to find the registration desk. I booked a 1 queen room which faced the back. Only a handful of rooms...

A really neat old motel to stay in. The rooms have been updated pretty well, and a really neat old place. Do the tour at night and learn the history of the hotel and town.

Loved the Bullock. It is a restored historic hotel, so is old. We had a double room, which was small but had everything we needed. Free cocktails while gambling in the casino. Bully's Bar had a nice atmosphere for a quiet drink and was where breakfast and lunch could be purchased. The hotel has a reputation for being haunted and...

Being a fan of the 'deadwood' show I was excited about staying in this hotel. Unfortunately by the time I got to Deadwood I was becoming quite sick, I didn't get to see a lot of the town but I did get to spend a lot of time in my hotel room, mostly the bed. At no point did I...

Booked two rooms several months in advance by calling the hotel directly. The gal who answered the phone was pleasant. Requested non-smoking rooms. Was told the new owner is planning to make all but five rooms smoking rooms, so by the time we arrived in Deadwood, the rooms we were given would be repainted, totally cleaned, and renewed as non-smoklng...

We had tried to get a room at Casino Jacks at the edge of town, but they were full up so we tried the Bullock Hotel. What a lucky turn of events! Our room at the Bullock Hotel was best place we stayed during our 3,000 mile road trip. Vicki at the front desk was terrific. She offered us a...

chose this hotel because it had smoking rooms, but when we inquired at the service desk for an ashtray, we were told all rooms are now non-smoking,and the website had not been updated to reflect this. we were naturally upset, because this is the reason we chose to stay at this hotel and we had been there for a few...
