I stayed at the Black Hills Cabins and Motel at Quail's Crossing in 2008 for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. My bike broke down and I was pretty sad, until the owner, George, took me out on a personalized Rally tour on his own scoot. I got to see some great stuff that is definitely not on the usual tourist paths.... More

We found George's Quail Crossing on his Internet site. The location is great for sightseeing and visiting the area around Hill City – it is just a few minutes from town. George gave us some tips on a couple of excellent restaurants and they were just as good as he said. The cabins are quaint - just what you might... More

My husband and I came to Hill City with our Friends from Illinois. We found out about Georges motel and cabins on the internet so we reserved it for our trip. We were very happy with what we found when we got there. My husband and I had the first room on the bottom floor and our friends were right... More

Very nice place! Affordable and roomy. Has a large cabin for large families. Beautiful view! Centrally located between attractions. Being able to cook on our own is important to our diet, so this was a life saver- and a money saver! Check it out!

One word Amazing! Great place to stay scenery just around the cabins is beautiful. Loved everything about this place it felt like a home away from home. The only thing I didn't like was that the businesses speed ordering because it was the ” end of season” and they closed easier our weren't open at ask

We want to thank you for an absolute lovely staying at your cabin; we loved everything, the room with all accommodations, the rustic, adorable terrace where having our morning coffee looking at the beautiful hills , the deer, the horses...We miss that already! And so convenient located from all the places we wanted to visit, including Mount Rushmore only 10... More

Our room was meticulous, very clean and homey! George offers so much and so many extra options! Pool, playground, horse, creek behind the motel and cabins, bike/walking path and best of all.... just outside of town and away from all the "city noise" and the view is fabulous!! Such a great place if you have kids with you and great... More

The proprietor, George, is very personable and honest, hard-working and caring. Cleanliness is apparent in the motel...we did not experience the cabins. When we wanted to tack on an extra day, plus add family members to our group, he was very accommodating and helpful. Fridge, microwave...coffe maker! Access to a grill or two...all ways to save on food costs if... More

We recently stayed for 5 nights in cabin #7. We stayed despite reading some of the negative reviews. Yes there is a list of rules, but they're pretty much common sense. Nothing out of the ordinary. We cleaned up and had no problem getting our cleaning deposit back. You don't have to clean the bathroom ot strip/make the beds. The... More

My family stayed in a room on the top floor of the motel. Very basic room, but it was very clean. Our room was located right across from the lounge area of the deck, where there are several chairs, a table and a grill. The view from the deck is beautiful! Our kids enjoy physical activities, so we chose this... More
