We have stayed at the pierhouse now for a number of years and the service from the staff and management just seems to get better and better. There were 14 of us there for 4 nights and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, I must thank Martin and Saraj (sorry if spellings wrong) for looking after us and... More

Stayed with family in June. Bedrooms were nice, food good but staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. A smile goes a long way.! Its a place with gr8 potential but lacks atmosphere.! Music on T.V.'s turned down, no volume at all, No sports. It was like been in a Community Centre listening to everyone else talking. Could be a gr8 place... More

The location is wonderful with rooms right over the small harbour. The restaurant and bar are attractive, and the food reasonable. However, the place was let down by poor management. Reception was haphazard and service in the restaurant / bar very poor and lacking in professionalism. One person was on duty for breakfast - taking orders and cooking the food.... More

After a lovely greeting we had been given a clean, bright and spacious room over looking the harbor, did not eat in the hotel but the food did look good. The purpose of our visit was to eat in the Blue bar next door as they served great cocktails and food. Had a lovely time there and then staggered back... More

I had an amazing experience at Pierhouse. The food was just great, the service was personalized, friendly and proffessional. The rooms were excellent. All in all, would dash back there in a heart-beat!

Ate and stayed in the Hotel and I don’t know who wrote the other good reviews but this place was abysmal to say the least. Overpriced food and the staff could do with a course in customer relations. We arrived for a evening meal and my partner and I had scampi, the batter was soggy and the chips were cold... More
