Lovely place to stay. My girlfriend and i stayed there last July and had a great time. Pearl is a brilliant hostess, very friendly and made us feel at home. Cracking breakfast!!! Will hopefully be back again soon, you have to check this place out if you're looking to stay in that area.

An amazing place Pearl is just a natural, great welcome, the rooms are spotless and the furnishings rate better than some 4* hotels I have stayed in . Lots of amazing things to look at in the house & you can walk for miles in the country side , or just sit and relax in the garden so peaceful. Will... More

OMG we had a fantastic time here over the two days of our stay. We stayed with our 2 yr old and landlady Pearl tried her best to win him over as soon as he walked through the door with toys and bedtime books. She had obviously taken good notes when we booked because she knew our names and how... More

What a wonderful B&B! Pearl is the most welcoming, wonderful hostess and is born to the job! Fabulous house and all so interesting. The room was gorgeous complete with fluffy dressing gowns. Pearl rang the local pub to book us in for what was a lovely meal and secured our bikes for us. Our only regret was that we couldn't... More

Landlady Pearl gave us a splendid welcome. Our room was lovely and clean and the chocolate biscuits were very good-a small thing but in my experience a good indication of the generosity of the hosts. The breakfast was also very good. We arrived very grubby and wet as my wife and I were cycling the Devon coast-to-coast route but Pearl... More

A friend and I stayed at the Royal Oak House while cycling the Devon Coast to Coast and the B&B was right on the route. We had a warm welcome from Pearl despite us being rather wet and muddy cyclists, but she took it all in her stride and there is cycle storage too. The accommodation and food was of... More

What a lovely house . I can thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast accommodation. We had a very warm welcome from Pearl the owner and nothing was too much trouble, not that we had to ask it was all there anyway. The room was beautifully presented and spotless. Lovely bed linen and extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent and... More

Wow what a nice place to stay, breakfast was to die for all fresh locally produced fare served impeccably, Room was more hotel than b&b in standard but still retained the homely feel.Wish it was colder as the traditional woodburning fires in the bar and dining rooms were very inviting, would be worth a return visit just to sit by...
