We have just returned from Combe Martin, which has a special place in my heart, where we stayed at Brambleside with Hazel and Pete Izzard. To say we were made welcome is an understatement, treated as old friends more like. Our pretty bedroom is the only one available, with another sitting/ dining room across the hall, so you have all the... More

Pete and Hazel are the perfect hosts running a perfect bed and breakfast. The quality of the accommodation and food was truly amazing. Really all the other reviews for Brambleside sums up what a lovely weekend we had there. Pete and Hazel you are both a credit to Combe Martin, thank you both. Chris and Lynn Jones

We stayed in July 2011 and had a most enjoyable few days. We can only repeat what the previous reviewers have said: excellent! Spotlessly clean, very friendly hosts, quiet and well thought out. One of the best little B&B's we've stayed at anywhere in the world!

Spent 3 nights at Brambleside and was very impressed by the high standard of the bedroom/ensuite, lounge and of course the breakfast. Hazel and Pete are very friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Have stayed in lots of B&B's, this is one of the best! This is the sort of place that everybody hopes to find. If you... More

After staying at a number of very nice B&Bs, Pubs and Hotels during our holiday in southern England, Brambleside pipped them all for comfort and friendliness. The house looks modest from the outside and only has one guest bedroom. Inside it is a gem with a little sunny Patio, comfortable lounge/dining room with a decent sized TV for patron's sole... More

Very friendly welcome from Pete and Hazel with coffee and cakes. The room was spotless with everything we needed. The south facing private patio was a little sun trap with views over the hills. The 10 minute walk to the bay was ideal for an evening stroll for a meal at the seafront pubs. We would book this B &... More

We had a fabulous holiday on our first visit to north Devon, and there is no doubt that staying at Brambleside played a big part in this. Pete and Hazel are the warm hosts to Brambleside, which is nicely situated away from the main road with has terrific views of the valley, and only a 10 min walk to the... More
