A 4 day golf trip which we did for the first time. Accommodation very good standard, food very comprehensive in choice and far too much in amount - quality not top notch but certainly good and excellent value for money. Golf courses not perfect but again good value for the price. Excellent alternative things to do in bad weather .... More

My three friends and I have just returned from our second four night/five day golf break to the Ashbury Golf Hotel. As with our first visit we found the hotel's staff to be unfailingly polite, helpful and efficient with nothing being too much trouble in their efforts to make each guests stay as good as it can be. The bedrooms,... More

We've been going to The Ashbury Golf Hotel for the past 4 years. This year there were 13 of us. Everybody had a great time. Golf courses are a good standard, especially Kigbeare and Pines. Food is amazing and rooms are warm and comfortable. Yes, the decor needs an 'upgrade', but if they did this then the prices would go... More

I have extolled the virtues of this venue previously, and I will again echo them. The golf is excellent, the hotel is OK, the food is good, the staff are very helpful. Even the green staff are courteous and helpful, much better than my own club. Our deal was for 2 people for 4 weekdays at a total cost of... More

We are just back from 4 days in this horrible hotel, it is just awful. It is not wheelchair friendly at all and there is just one word for 90% of the staff AWFUL. We went candle making Lizzy our tutor told us she couldnt be bothered and not to make a mess, no teaching just a lot of shouting... More

We staid over Easter for a golf break. Check in after 1500 allowed for a game on arrival. Lunch at £5.00 a head on arrival and departure day very good value. A comfortable room and bed with a plentiful supply of tea and coffee. Meals in dinning room were good home cooking. Breakfast and lunch self service, dinner served. Varied... More

9th year running. Played 90 holes of golf and did'nt get held up once. I have noticed a sharp drop in the number of guests (we always play in the Easter break because its quieter). And in all this time there isn't one shred of tedium about playing the same courses, probably because there are 81 different holes with breathtaking... More

My husband and I stayed here along with 15 others for a golfing break. We were 12 golfers and three wives (non-golfers). Us girls had a great time whilst the guys played golf. We took part in all sorts of activities and the hotel ferried us between the two sites so we didn't miss out. The facilities and both complexes... More

We stayed at the Manor part of the complex 5-10 minutes away, but being keen golfers spent most of our time at the Ashbury. On paper it does sound magnificent, 7 x 18 hole courses with all the accompanying facilities, however there are two fundamental issues which tarnish the whole experience. One is the unavoidable fact that the whole site... More
